Each biome (planet) was to have a guardian, or a boss. This guardian was a large beast, cocky and urging you to challenge him in his own dojo. More than a dire dramatic fight, this battle was supposed to be like a sparring match against an arrogant opponent, toying with you and laughing at your feeble attempts to beat him.
