From "Neurotic", an electronica concept album I wrote between 2005 and 2007, and released as a physical CD through CDBaby in 2007. Here is the story text that is meant to be read along with this track:
The rush is over.
The dark voices have left me.
I am in a dazed state; it was a failed attempt.
A conglomerate of imagery fills my mind's eye.
I am soaring over lofty mountains and winding rivers.
Then, the sky above starts to swirl into a slurry of textures.
Usually insignificant objects form patterns;
They answer my deepest questions.
Iridescent lights buzz around me like fireflies;
They seem to condole my sorrows.
Then all at once, so abruptly and suddenly, the lights wander away.
I reach out to them, but I know they are gone.
And I feel a certain sense of apathy...
